Neither version includes the AIM XLog logger. The magnets are KJ Magnetics B882 N52, which you can also get directly: Amazon · KJ Magnetics.
Check before you buy
- Device: this cradle is shaped for the AIM XLog. No fit is established for any other logger. Confirm your logger is that model before you order
- Mounting: the base plate has a magnet and is designed to stick to a cabin surface. Steel is not required. Check the spot you have in mind is within reach of where the logger needs to sit
- Setup: the STL path means you print both parts and source your own magnets; the kit path hands you the printed parts and magnets
- Uncertain fit: if you are not sure the mount will land where you want it in your car, ask before ordering. Tell me your car and I will tell you what I know
How it was put together
- The base plate has a magnet and is designed to be stuck to a cabin surface, so it does not need steel to attach
- The cradle locates the XLog so it sits where you left it rather than moving around the cabin
- It ran in my C8 in the position shown in the photo. Your cabin may give you a different good spot, so check the geometry against your own car

- The $9 digital file is delivered by the method shown in your checkout and confirmation. If you are unsure how that will work or the file fails to arrive, contact support
- Digital files are non-refundable once delivered. If a file is incorrect or will not deliver, contact support
- The $49 printed kit is made to order and, as a physical item, ships from California to United States addresses, tracked. Shipping method, cost, and estimate are shown at checkout. Digital files do not ship
- Physical returns: 30 days after delivery, subject to store policy, buyer covers ordinary return shipping. Digital files are not returned

- Physical kit: 30 day return after delivery, subject to store policy. The buyer covers ordinary return shipping; if an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact support and it will be handled

FAQ
What exactly is in the STL download?
Two files: XLog_Mount.stl, the printed cradle, and XLog_Magnet_Base_Plate.stl, the stick-on base plate. The XLog logger itself is not part of the download.
What does the $49 kit include?
The printed cradle and base plate plus the two magnets. It does not include the XLog logger.
How does the mount attach?
The base plate has a magnet and is designed to stick to a cabin surface. The cradle holds the XLog and is held to the base by the magnets. Because the base plate sticks on, you do not need a steel surface. I ran it in my C8 in the position shown; whether that spot works in your car is worth checking before you order.
Which magnets does it use?
Two KJ Magnetics B882 N52 block magnets. They are included in the $49 kit; the STL path means sourcing your own.
Will it fit a different logger?
No fit is established for any logger other than the AIM XLog. The cradle is shaped for the XLog only. If you run a different logger, this mount is not a fit for it. Ask before ordering if you are unsure.
