TRACK DAY DIARIES

About

The nerdy engineer who overthinks his cars.

I spent five years turning a red C8 Stingray into a proper track car. Aero I fabricated myself, Penske three ways, AP Racing brakes, four exhausts and three sets of cats along the way. It also went through two engines and a transmission, and I can count on one finger the number of trouble free track days I had. I loved it. It did not love me back. It is what it is.

So I sold it. Not because it was bad, but because it taught me exactly what I want next. The replacement is a yellow 718 GT4 with a PDK, lighter and better built, and it reminds me about its color every single time I walk up to it. It is not all upgrade though. The AC is the worst of any car I have owned. No hate over here, the numbers decide.

The channel and this site exist because I run Track Day Diaries on YouTube, teaching what I learn on and around tracking your car. I cannot help running the numbers on my own cars. Wheel weights against lap times. Oil analysis at pretty much every change. A CAN bus I decoded myself. If a video or a build sheet saves you a weekend of guesswork or a busted knuckle, that is a win.

Come say hi at the paddock

I'll be the guy torquing wheels and handing out stickers. Show the screen with a follow and we'll talk setup.
