What is a C8 DCT park release tool?
- A manual tool for the park release on the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Tremec TR-9080 dual clutch transmission
- It turns the factory release so a car stuck in Park can roll for loading or recovery
- It is used when a dead battery or mechanical failure prevents the normal electronic shift to Neutral
- The release must be held while the car moves. This tool does not lock it open

- Never put pressure on the parking pawl. Insert, hold the release, move the car, let it go
- The release must be held while the car moves. Plan for two people on a flatbed load, one holding the tool, one guiding the car
- GM says the release must not be mechanically held open. Do not wedge, strap, or lock it
- Never use it on a hill. Chock the wheels before you release
